'An absolutely wonderful course'

'Adam Tetlow is a fantastic teacher of this beautiful, ancient art form. The clear descriptions, detailed illustrations and patient explanations made this course a success for me.
I greatly enjoyed it!'
Kelly Nelson - Oakland, California

For the first time Adam Tetlow is combining his 'Celtic Pattern, Geometry and Imagination' with elements from 'Celtic Zoomorphic Patterns' and 'Integrating Islamic and Celtic Patterns’.
The course will explore the interplay between traditional geometry and imaginative freehand ornament within
Celtic Art from its Palaeolithic beginnings through to its Classical and Christian periods. Students will learn to draw and compose the traditional forms of Celtic knot work, zoomorphic animal patterns and Celtic key patterns as well as the unique geometrical methods of compass drawn spiral patterns. The Celtic practice of composing manuscript pages using the geometry of squares and proportional rectangles will also be covered.
